Eastbourne Lammas is back and EBS is extremely pleased to support this fantastic event by attending with our fundraising stalls!

About Eastbourne Lammas

Last held along the Seafront and Western Lawns in 2018, the Lammas Festival returns, in the new location of Hampden Park.

Lammas is an ancient festival marking the first harvest of the season. It is also a midpoint between the summer solstice and autumn equinox.

Today, Lammas is widely celebrated by modern Pagans not only as a celebration of the harvest, but honouring the cycle of life, death and renewal through the “Wheel Of Life” and the “symbolic sacrifice’ of John Barleycorn.

After several years of absence, it was a great honour for Anderida Border Morris to be asked to revive Eastbourne Lammas Festival in 2024 and be the host side. They are raising vital funds for the Wildlife Rescue Ambulance Service (WRAS), who provide a front-line rescue service for wildlife casualties in East Sussex.

The Lammas Committee have secured over 40 stalls, food vendors that cater for allergies and intolerances, multiple stages for live music, workshops, entertainers, 12 Morris sides, disabled access toilets, a beer tent and of course, the Lammas Ceremony performed by Rachel Rose.

They would encourage everybody to join us and help bring this brilliant family-friendly festival of diversity, colour and culture back to Eastbourne.
